Burley Edward "Ed" Folmar, 64, Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in Lake Worth, Fla.
He was born Aug. 20, 1948, in Williamsport, the son of Clellon "Kelly" and Vonnel (Powell) Folmar.
Ed was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church.
Ed retired from Verizon after over 30 years of service.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 214 since 2009, the American Legion, Elks No. 1057 and George W. Pepperman Post No. 36 Serviceman's Club.
Ed is survived by a son, Chad Folmar; a daughter, Shanda (Todd) Walker; three grandchildren, Dane Demarest, Cole Demarest and Darian Walker; a brother, Clellon "Jim" (Sandy Getgen) Folmar; three sisters, Nadine (Richard) Hazen, Sandra (Toby) Johnson and Pam Dunleavy (Walter) Gower; and close friends, Charlie Brooks and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Ed's Life Celebration Memorial Service 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with Rev. Bert Kozen officiating.
Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
