Five of Penn State's six wins came with bonus points on Sunday as the Nittany Lions finised a weekend road trip with a 29-18 win over Ohio State.
Returning national runner-up Nico Megaludis opened with a major decision at 125 pounds. Returning national champion David Taylor picked up a fall at 165 pounds, as did returning national champion Ed Ruth at 184. Former national champion Quentin Wright won by major decision at 197 and Jimmy Lawson won by injury default at 285.
Central Mountain graduate Dylan Alton had the Nittany Lions' other win with a decision victory over Josh Demas, 4-3, at 157 pounds.
Bucknell heavyweight Joe Stolfi picked up the Bison's lone win with a decision in a 37-3 loss to No. 7 Cornell in college wrestling. Three-time national champion Kyle Dake earned one of two falls for the Big Red, decking No. 10 Corey Lear in 53 seconds at 165 pounds.
Freshman Jamie Steer scored a season-high 37 points to lead Pennsylvania College of Technology to a 93-89 win over Penn State Scranton. The win clinches as a spot in the conference playoffs for the Lady Wildcats. Senior Kierstin Steer recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Freshman Christopher Carrington scored 14 and sophomore Jesse Newman notched a double-double with both 10 points and rebounds in the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team's 91-75 loss to Penn State Scranton. With the loss, the Wildcats finish their 2012-13 season 4-21 overall.
The Lycoming men's and women's swimming teams capped the final day of the MAC?Championships by breaking four more school records. Albright won both the men's and women's team titles.
Sophomore Danielle Loiseau broke a 30-year old record in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:13.18 in the preliminaries and finished fourth in the finals. Freshman Trevor Endler took second in the 200 breaststroke and Josh Thomas finished third in the 200 butterfly becoming the first Lycoming swimmer to break 2 minutes in the 200 butterfly by finishing in 1:58.66.
The men's 400 freestyle relay team of Nate Oropollo, Zack Brower, Daniel Woods and Kyle Garase broke the school record in 3:14.65
