Dana Borick Brigandi joined Lycoming College as assistant director of college relations on Feb. 1, according to Jerry Rashid, director of college relations. She comes to Lycoming from the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, where she has worked since 2001. During the past seven years, she was the lifestyle and education editor at the paper.
As assistant director of college relations, Brigandi will be responsible for producing content for the web and various print publications, managing news releases, social media accounts and e-communications, maintaining portions of the college's website and assisting with media relations and photography. She also will aid in producing Lycoming's alumni magazine.
"Dana brings a wealth of experience to the position," Rashid said. "She will be a tremendous asset to Lycoming College and do a great job of promoting its outstanding people and programs."
Brigandi is a 2009 graduate of the Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lycoming program and a board member of the Junior League of Williamsport. She also is a member of the Volunteer Leadership Council with the American Cancer Society, an active volunteer with Favors Forward Foundation and assisting the James V. Brown Library with its online Connect Williamsport community calendar.
Brigandi has a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and a master's degree from Lock Haven University, where she was a temporary faculty member in the Communications Department.
She resides in South Williamsport with her husband, Ben, and their two young daughters.
