Mr. and Mrs. G. Robert Kissell observed their 60th wedding anniversary Feb. 15, 2013.
They were married by the Rev. Fitzgerald at St. John Evangelical Luth-eran Church, Jersey Shore. They are members of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Montoursville.
Mrs. Kissell, the former Ruth Billman, is a native of Jersey Shore. She is the daughter of the late Martha (Crist) and Wilson Billman. She graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 1950. She retired from GTE Sylvania, Montour-sville, in the accounting office.

Mr. Kissell, a native of Collomsville, is the son of the late Laura DeFraind and Fred Kissell. He graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School, received a bachelor's degree in history and geography from Lock Ha-ven University in 1951, master's degree from Bucknell University in 1956 and attended graduate school at Penn State University. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He taught at Susquenita High School, Montoursville High Scho-ol and retired from Pennsylvania College of Technology.
They are the parents of two sons, Craig, State College; and Douglas, Melbourne, Fla.; and a daughter, Pamela Cunningham, Columbus, Miss.
There are nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a summer celebration is being planned.
