Violet Jankowiak, 87, of Blossburg, Pa., passed away Feb. 12, 2013, at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro.
Born in Blossburg on Aug. 12, 1925, Violet was a daughter of the late Andrew and Cecelia (Zodrynski) Jankowiak. She was employed by the former Blossburg Hospital in their laundry department. Violet was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Blossburg.
Surviving are dear friends, Cynthia and Sam Jackson of Maryland and Faye Kuzneski of Blossburg. Violet was predeceased by two sisters, Lottie Marvin in 2000 and Irene Jankowiak in 2006.
Calling hours are 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Zwicharowski Funeral Home, 314 Granger St., Blossburg, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St Andrew's Cemetery.
