A 62-year-old Trout Run man who was convicted of reckless endangerment and simple assault by a Lycoming County jury in January for firing a gun toward a neighbor will be serving a six month county jail term.
Paul D. Crissman, of 1127 Route 84, fired a long gun from his property on Oct. 7, 2011 into his neighbor's driveway - the shot struck when the family's 14-year-old boy was standing outside the house.
Judge Dudley N. Anderson sentenced Crissman to six to 24 months in county jail on Wednesday morning. Crissman was ordered to not have any contact with the victim's family.
At the time of the incident, Crissman was on probation for firing at two riders of all-terrain vehicles near his property.
Crissman has credit for time served in county prison from Oct. 8, 2012, through Jan. 28. He is scheduled to be released to parole once his minimum sentence is served.
