William L. Lee Sr., 65, of Pine Street, Cogan Station, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born Oct. 7, 1947, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Mary (Gardner) Lee. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Brown.
Bill was an avid truck driver for 40 years. He enjoyed building and restoring old cars and trucks. He enjoyed fishing, collecting lawnmowers and riding motorcycles.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Jane E. (Bergey) Lee; a son, William L. (Sherrie) Lee Jr. of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Sherry E. Lee of Cogan Station; three grandsons, Brandon, Kevin and Brad; a great-granddaughter, Jayden; a brother, Francis (Debbie) Lee of South Williamsport; three sisters, Margaret Gardner of Williamsport, Sharon (Tim) Lee of Jersey Shore and Mary Jane Lee of Williamsport; a special nephew, Jamie Confer of Cogan Station; and many other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Visitation will be held 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Sanders Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's name may be made to his family, or a charity of one's choice.
