Lock Haven grad gets post with Washington Nationals

Donald Neidig II will be reported to the Washington National spring training on Feb. 15 in Melbourne, Florida after being selected in November as the Athletic Trainer for the Washington Nationals Gulf Coast League team.

He graduated in the summer of 2012 and passed his boards in the fall. He completed an internship with the State College Spikes in 2010 and the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, Florida in the summer of 2011.

When he entered the Athletic Training program it was his dream to be able to become an Athletic Trainer in the Major Leagues. The head athletic trainer for the Washington Nationals Lee Kuntz is a Lock Haven University graduate.
