Edith Ohl Burney passed away on Jan. 31, 2013, in Goodyear, Ariz. She was born on Dec. 2, 1933, in South Williamsport, Pa., to Elmer E. Ohl II and Caroline (Hine) Ohl.
She is survived by three siblings, Dodie Ohl Smith, Goodyear, Ariz., Elmer E. Ohl III, Deming, N.M., and William A. Ohl, Bainbridge, N.Y. She was preceded in death by sister, Sarah L. Ohl, in 2005. She leaves six nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
She was a 1951 graduate of South Williamsport High School. She retired from restaurant management for the Elby's, Big Boy Corporation. She loved traveling, dancing, cooking and exploring new adventures. She enjoyed her retirement in Arizona by taking up painting, making jewelry and volunteering at an inner-city school. She was so loved by her family and friends. Anyone that knew her will remember her effervescent personality, always being the life of the party. She will be forever missed by those who knew her. There will be a summer burial at Edgewood Cemetery in Loyalsock Township, Pa.
