Organization helping cats in the community

February 19, 2013
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Beckoning Cat Project is a newly formed organization that is dedicated to finding community solutions for cats.

They have many programs they are working on, the first of which is low-cost spay and neuters. Their first low cost spay and neuter day is March 9. The cost is $35 for a neuter and $75 for a spay, which includes a rabies vaccine.

To register, call Kerry at 971-4592. Registration is required.

The organization also is working to find alternative homes for cats. They will supply spayed or neutered and vaccinated barn cats, assist with trap, neuter, release and the setup of feral colonies and are working on foster programs with seniors.

To utilize their services, adopt a barn or house cat or volunteer as a foster home or a colony caretaker, call 971-4592 or email kpgidyup@chilitech.net.

They also are accepting monetary donations, cat food, litter and towels
