Karen L. Snyder, 65, of Armstrong Township, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Williamsport, a daughter of Irvin F. and Lillian E. Zeafla Snyder.
Karen had worked as a radiologist technologist for the Susquehanna Health System. She was a member of New Covenant United Church of Christ and the Xi Epsilon Zeta chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Karen enjoyed reading, crafts, word games, 50s music and her family.
She was predeceased by her father and two brothers, Gary F. and Randall F.
Karen is survived by her mother of South Williamsport; a brother, Dennis A. (Joyce) Snyder of Montoursville, sister-in-law, Shirley Snyder of Elimsport; nieces and nephews, Denise Snyder, Trisha (Tim) Berry, Dennis (Marianne Koiva) Snyder II, Lesley (Jason) George, Thomas (Jessica) Betz, and Travis (Samantha) Betz; a goddaughter and niece, Kylee Snyder; a cousin, John (Connie) Jarrett; and her cat, Fiona.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at New Covenant United Church of Christ, 202 E. Third St., Williamsport, with Rev. Dr. Karin Stork-Whitson officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church Congregational Concerns Committee.
