Franklin Grant Chandlee died in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Feb. 13, 2013.
Frank was born in Williamsport, Pa., and grew up in Slate Run, Pa. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1956 and retired in 1977. Frank served in several countries and is a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a Gunners Mate.
He will always be missed and loved by his wife of 45 years, Hannelore; his daughters, Gerlinde L. Trimble (Blake), Tammy Lynn Chandlee, Francis Lake (Tom); and sons, Thomas O. Markle (Debra), Robert C. Markle (Kathleen) and Michael D. Markle (Debbie); his sister, Beverly J. Procter (Jim); and his brother, Jim Chandlee.
He will be missed by all 16 of his grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his beloved aunt, Helen Knipple and stepmother, Joan Chandlee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James G. Chandlee and Geraldine F. Overdorf and son, Ralph D. Markle.
Cremation is in progress and there will be a Military Inurnment Ceremony in Slate Run at a date yet to be determent.
We all love you my dear, you can finally rest without pain, after so many years of suffering.
