Alma C. Carson, 91, Williamsport, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Rose View Center.
Born Dec. 11, 1921, in East Canton, she was a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Cora Belle (Tule) Williams. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Weis, and four brothers, Monroe, George Daniel, Galen and Irvin Williams.
She retired as a nurse's assistant from Williamsport Hospital after 16 years. Alma enjoyed sewing, making alterations and making and repairing dolls; some of her dolls were sold all over the world.
Surviving are her two children, Kenneth D. Carson and Diane Carson Stine, both of Williamsport; a granddaughter, Jesica Caldwell of Bath; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Ryleigh and Presten; a sister, Betty Tompkins of DuBoistown; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Sanders Mortuary.
