Crack dealer gets federal prison time

March 1, 2013
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

A man who pleaded guilty in October to conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine was sentenced Thursday in U.S. Middle District Court to seven years in federal prison.

Jermaine Williams was sentenced by Judge Christopher C. Conner to a prison term of 85 months, a $500 fine, a $100 special assessment cost and four years of supervised probation upon release from prison.

Williams pleaded guilty to taking part in a conspiracy with two other men to distribute the drug in Tioga County between 2005 and 2007.

The cocaine from Rochester, N.Y., was sold from a trailer on Barney Hill Road near Elkland and was used to sell crack made from powder cocaine, according to court records.
