TROUT RUN - A second man has been arrested in connection with a rash burglaries at properties from which large amounts of scrap metal and other items were stolen, according to state police.
Bryan Nicholas Giacomi, 23, whose last known address was 1750 Southard Road, Gamble Township, allegedly stole more than $12,000 of scrap metal and other items from multiple properties in six townships, police said.
Lycoming Township, police said the thefts occurred between November and January at the following locations:
Giacomi was arraigned last week before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on 31 charges, including seven counts each of burglary and felony trespassing, eight counts each of theft and receiving stolen property and one count of criminal mischief.
He waived his preliminary hearing Monday and is jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail. He was incarcerated Jan. 11 when he was caught allegedly stealing $10,000 worth of scrap metal from a property on Kellyburg Road in Cascade Township.
Walter Matthew Shaw, 25, of 1229 Lower Bodines Road, Trout Run, an alleged accomplice, was arrested earlier this year.
