DA: Homicide investigation in Jersey Shore may be linked to missing person

JERSEY SHORE - Tiadaghton and state police have been on the scene at a home on South Lincoln Avenue in Jersey Shore since early this morning.

Lycoming County District Attorney Eric Linhardt confirmed at mid-afternoon that this is a homicide investigation and that police have taken one person into custody for questioning.

The coroner arrived about noon today at the scene of a home cordoned off by police tape. Shortly thereafter, media crews and a gathering crowd were directed to move farther from the scene and the street was blocked off.

Detectives could be seen taking measurements around the exterior of the house and some of the windows.
