Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday The Rev. Karl Jones Jr., director of development for the Northeast Pennsylvania Lions Ee Bank will be the speaker and discuss giving the gift of sight. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church's Wesley Hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees are asked to call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be Melanie Taormina, a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Williamsport.
