A former Hope Enterprises employee faces felony charges for allegedly stealing $2,125 from the checking account of one of the agency's clients while she worked for Hope, according to state police.

Tammy Ann Scampone was assigned to take care of the Loyalsock Township client, but she allegedly was stealing from his account between early November 2008 and early September 2009, police said. The 47-year-old woman has been terminated from the agency, police said.

Scampone, formerly of Route 442, Muncy, and now living at 944 Broad St., Montoursville, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on charges of theft and receiving stolen property, and released on $15,000 bail.
