Announcement has been made of the engagement of Samantha Kneedler and Brent Wheeland, both of Williamsport.
An August 3 wedding in Williamsport is being planned.
Kneedler is the daughter of Cathy and Jeff Kneedler, Montoursville. She graduated from Loyalsock Township High School in 2004. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Misericordia University, Dallas, Pa., in 2008 where she also is pursuing a master's degree in nurse practitioner. She is employed by Susque-hanna Health.

Wheeland is the son of Dianna and Richard Wheeland, Montoursville, and Bettylou Wheeland, Montoursville. He graduated from Loyalsock Township High School in 1998. He received a bachelor's degree in technology education from Miller-sville University, Lanca-ster, in 2002 and also received a master's degree in education from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, in 2008. He is employed by Jersey Shore Area School District.
