Donald W. Little

Donald W. Little, 88 of 6518 South Route 44 Highway, Jersey Shore, died Saturday morning, March 2, 2013, at his home.

Born Aug. 3, 1924, in Johnson City, Tenn., he was the son of Clyde H. Little and the former Mabel King.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, the former Helen B. Brannon, Feb. 17, 2013. They were united in marriage March 31, 1945, in Atlanta, Ga.

After 30 years, he retired from Transco as an electrical engineer. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and enjoyed hunting and fishing. During World War II, Donald honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946.

Surviving is a son, Stephen G. (Barbara) Little of Columbia, S.C.; one daughter, Carol E. (Carl) Herlocher of Jersey Shore; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Floyd K. Little of Linkenton, Ga.

Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. The Jersey Shore Honor Guard will conduct military honors Tuesday evening in the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made in his name to the Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
