Locally elected and appointed officials voted on the following matters in the past week:
County
Lycoming County commissioners voted to approve a countywide property reassessment. Commissioners also voted to accept a contract with Palmetto Posting of Spartanburg, S.C., to post delinquent tax parcels in the county. Voting in favor of both measures were Jeff Wheeland, Ernie Larson and Tony Mussare.
Municipal
Montoursville Borough Council granted conditional-use approval for Trinity Assembly of God, 328 Loyalsock Ave., to convert space in its building for offices and classrooms. Voting yes were Dennis Holt, Kim DiRocco, Mark Tillson, Robert Brobson and Ronald Shearer.
City Council voted 6-0 in favor of River Valley Transit signing a contract with Beavers Petroleum Co., of Horseheads, N.Y., for $2 million to install equipment that begins the fast-fill compressed natural gas station at 1500 W. Third St. In favor were President Bill Hall, Bonnie Katz, Jonathan Williamson, Don Noviello, Randall J. Allison and N. Clifford "Skip" Smith. Liz Miele was absent. Council also voted 6-0 with the same members agreeing to eliminate a proposed rental inspection fee of $30 per rental structure and $5 assessed by the city Codes Department for any additional apartment/unit in its general fee structure ordinance.
Old Lycoming Township supervisors voted to accept bids to pave a section of Dewey Avenue. A vote to approve a winning bid is expected this evening at the supervisors' meeting. Voting in favor were Janet Hall and Linda Mazzullo. John Eck was absent.
