Martha L. English, 83, of Linden, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 5, 1929, in Williamsport, she was a daughter to the late Victor and Mildred (Hammerstein) Livermore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frank L. "Sam" English, in 1999, and a brother, Samuel Livermore.
Martha was a homemaker and a childcare giver. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Martha attended State Road United Methodist Church for 42 years, where she taught Sunday school, and was also a member of the Ladies Missionary Group.
Surviving are her two daughters, Donna (Llaye) Hall of Martinsville, Ind. and Joyce (Wayne) Paulhamus of Jersey Shore; her son, Randy English of Linden; six grandchildren, Amy, Vicki, Jason, Russell, Bryan and Daniel; seven great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis (Dolly) Livermore of Cogan Station and Victor (Lorraine) Livermore Jr. of Trout Run; two sisters, Delores (Marlin) Remick of Trout Run and Beverly (William) Paulhamus of Danville; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Livermore of Trout Run.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Visitation will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sanders Mortuary.
