Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday Gail Burkhart, the coordinator of United Churches Food Pantry, will talk about feeding those in need and our transition to our new space in St. Joseph the Worker Parish in the Msgr. Castellano Center. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be the Rev. Danesta Whaley, a member of Citychurch, and the executive director of Yokefellow Prison Ministry.
