A Newberry man allegedly threatened to stab his mother during a domestic disturbance at their West Third Street home early Sunday morning, city police said.
"I will cut you. I will stab you in the stomach," Austin Aaron Monroe allegedly told his mother as he waved knives in the air at their home at 2135 W. Third St. about 2:30 a.m.
Police responded after Monroe came home and became "disruptive," according to an affidavit.
Charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, Monroe, who is now staying at 244 E. Church St., was arraigned before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley and released on $5,000 bail.
