March 20, 2013
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Teaming up with state police, members of the Lycoming County DUI Task Force charged 15 motorists with driving under the influence of intoxicants or controlled substances during the St. Patrick's Day holiday weekend, according to William Solomon, task force coordinator.

More than 60 motorists were stopped during roving patrols on Friday and Saturday night, Solomon said. Officers administered field sobriety tests to 26 drivers, he said.

Of the 15 charged with DUI, two of them were found to be under the influence of controlled substances, Solomon said.

Police also issued 20 notices for various traffic and vehicle code violations, Solomon said.
