Our political tribes should take lesson from the apparent and increasing inconsequence of Christianity. Though Christians of any denomination face persecution in much of the world, Christians divide and churches empty as each declares their particular faith the truer. Christians have the Bible, albeit with different interpretations.
America has its Constitution, albeit with different interpretations. Despite different interpretations of the Bible, Christ's Church (The Body of Christ) should be united in its fight against "Evil". As with various interpretations of the Constitution, Americans should unite against those who ignore and seek to destroy it.
It is a question of inclusiveness versus exclusiveness. The Democrats portray the appearance of inclusiveness while the "subjects" of their empathy suffer most. Republicans seem exclusive through their apparent rejection of that part of the electorate not in their tribe
