The following restaurants will participate in Dine Out for Red Cross: The Bridge Tavern. March 25 and 26; Cloud Nine, March 27; Herdic House, March 29.
The American Red Cross encourages everyone to eat at any or all of these restaurants and in turn a percentage of that day's take will be donated in support of local disaster services.
Julie's Coffee raised funds on March 12.
"We are very grateful to those participating restaurants, it really helps to spread the word about the wonderful work that the Red Cross does here in our own community," said Tom Szulanczyk Chapter Executive for the Northcentral PA region.
"The majority of that work is accomplished by volunteers who work locally and travel across the country to help during times of flood, fire, hurricane, tornado and any other disaster where human resources are needed to assist those affected," he added.
March is Red Cross Month, as declared in a proclamation signed into effect at the Lycoming County Commissioners' meeting.
"We are always delighted when the local officials who call upon our services, take the time to acknowledge us; it's very helpful to keep us in the public eye," said Anne Smith, communications director for the region.
She also said, "We can only do the important work we do, by making sure we are funded through the generosity of the public, and the time and effort made by our volunteers."
