Two local men face charges after allegedly injuring their respective girlfriends in separate domestic violence incidents in the city over the weekend.
Randy Allen Wright, 22, of 1643 Memorial Ave. Apt. 1W, has been charged with reckless endangerment, simple assault and harassment after allegedly punching his girlfriend and causing facial injuries.
On March 22, city police were dispatched to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center for an assault victim. The woman they met there had blood around her face and on the front of her pants. She suffered a broken nose, had a black left eye and the left side of her face was swollen and bruised, records state.
The woman told authorities that she and Wright had a disagreement and that Wright allegedly punched her in the face.
Wright was arraigned before District Judge James G. Carn on March 23. He is incarcerated in lieu of $18,500 bail.
Ansari H. Wilson, 21, of 641 Fourth St., has been charged with one misdemeanor count of simple assault after allegedly knocking his girlfriend to the ground and threatening her with a pistol.
According to the victim, the couple had been arguing most of the afternoon.
Wilson allegedly knocked a bowl out of the woman's hands, which caused her to fall to the ground, records state.
He then kicked her repeatedly in the back, before pulling a silver pistol out of a holster hidden on his body, police said.
"You make me want to do something to you ... I just want to do something to you," Wilson allegedly told the woman, while gesturing with the pistol.
The victim eventually was able to call authorities, which caused Wilson to flee the residence, police say.
Wilson was arraigned before District Judge James G. Carn on March 23. He is incarcerated in lieu of $15,000 bail.
