Gary D. Heatley, 60, of Covington, died at home on April 2, 2013. He was the husband of Cheryl Blank, whom he married on Oct. 11, 1975.
Gary was born July 26, 1952, in Wellsboro, the son of the late Frederick and Alice May Blackwell Heatley. Gary was a graduate of Liberty High School, the class of 1970. In addition, he attended Williamsport Community College. He was employed at HMAC in Lawrenceville, Pa., as a material manager. Gary attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wellsboro. Gary was a hard worker, devoted to his family. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Cheryl, are his daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer Heatley, Ithaca, N.Y., Diana and David Edler, Liberty; two grandchildren, Brie Edler and Kaylee Edler; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Irene Heatley, Morris.
Friends and family are invited to Gary's Life Celebration on Sunday, April 7, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901. Funeral is Monday, April 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Pearl St., Wellsboro, with the Rev. Canon Gregory Hinton and Rev. Dr. Keith Blank, officiating. Burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Morris. Memorials may be made in Gary's name to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105-3678.
