Locally elected and appointed officials voted on the following matters in the past week:
Lycoming County Sewer and Water Authority members voted to approve a $2,200 contract with HRG Inc., of State College, for engineering services for completion of a PennWorks funding application for a new water storage tank and water line to serve businesses in the Fairfield Road area. Members also voted to spend $24,465 each for two new utility trucks and $24,000 for architectural services for possible expansion of the authority's laboratory. Voting in favor of each were Mary E. Bennardi, Jan V. Ransdorf, Donald E. Konkle Jr., Paul O. Wentzler, Richard C. Haas, James R. Carpenter, Charles S. Hall, Robert Hippenstiel and Scott Slocum.
City Council by a 7-0 vote passed a resolution to settle with ex-city police Cpl. Dustin Kreitz by providing him with full pension and post-retirement medical and life insurances once he reaches the age of 50 in 2019. Voting in favor were President Bill Hall, Liz Miele, Bonnie Katz, Jonathan Williamson, Don Noviello, Randall J. Allison and N. Clifford "Skip" Smith.
Montoursville Borough Council gave conditional-use approval for a car wash to operate at 629 N. Loyalsock Ave. Dennis Holt, Eugene Boyles and Ronald Shearer voted yes. Robert Brobson and Mark Tillson voted no. Kim DiRocco did not vote, citing a conflict of interest in the matter.
