MANSFIELD - Jason H. Greene, 25, of 293 Daniels Road, was charged by state police with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the residence in Richmond Township. According to documents, police were dispatched for a report of found paraphernalia by Greene's father, Samuel Greene, on March 23.
Police said Greene and his wife were watching TV in their residence and their son Jason was in another room on the computer when he began to play loud music. When asked to turn it down, the younger Greene responded with an expletive and they argued.
His father told him to leave and after he left, the elder Greene found an email from his son to a recipient indicating he had a stash of drugs and/or paraphernalia hidden in the ceiling of the basement. He went to the basement and found a plastic shopping bag hidden in a ceiling panel containing syringes and other paraphernalia.
Police took possession of 17 syringes with caps, small plastic baggies and a bag containing suspected marijuana. Jason Greene was issued a summons to appear at an April 24 preliminary hearing.
