Lemuel Dean Rowland, 75, of Williamsport, Pa., passed away at the Gatehouse Hospice, Williamsport, Pa., on Wednesday, April 10, 2013.
Dean was born on Aug. 28, 1937, at Hampshire, Tenn., he was the son of the late William H. and Bethel (Gibson) Rowland.
Dean was a member of and attended the Calvary Church of the Nazarene at Williamsport.
He was the Founder and Owner of Action Towing until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed classic cars.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Joanne A. Rowland, of Williamsport; his daughter, Janet L. (Kathy) Rowland, of Williamsport; his three sons, Lemuel D. (Kim) Rowland Jr., of Williamsport, Jason (Ruth) Rowland, of Nashville, Tenn., and Richard (Jackie) Phoenix, of Md. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Rowland, of Columbia, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Jerry Rowland.
Friends and family will be received Monday, April 15, 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, Pa.
Funeral services will be held at Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, April 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Louis Gatti officiating.
Interment will follow at the Montoursville Cemetery, Montoursville, Pa.
