A Loyalsock Township man accused of animal cruelty will have to wait until June to receive a decision in a non-jury trial that began Thursday.
Keith Chambers, 65, stands trial on charges that three horses, 10 dogs and a cat were found in neglected conditions at his Bloomingrove Road property on Dec. 2, 2011.
His trial, before Judge Marc Lovecchio, was scheduled to be completed on Thursday. With a half-dozen witnesses to question, not everyone was able to take the stand that day.
The continuance of Chambers' trial could not be fit into the current trial term, which runs through May 1. The trial will reconvene the morning of June 14.
