Leah C. Richart, 84, of Muncy, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
Born Dec. 25, 1928, in Mainville, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Pauline Levan George.
Leah was employed at the former Weldon's and retired from Sears at the Lycoming Mall. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs, Spunky and Flake.
Surviving are her husband, Harry Richart Jr.; a daughter, Dolly P. (Barry) Hill of Muncy; a son, Robert J. (Ann) Richart of Muncy; a sister; Evelyn Curry of Hughesville; five grandchildren, Rob Richart of Hughesville, Michael Richart of Harrisburg, Lisa (Eddy) Robenolt of Danville, Amanda Hill of Muncy and Matthew Hill of Muncy; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Leah was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Richart; a brother, Clyde George; and a sister, Bernice Richart.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
