I don't understand President Obama's idea of wanting to curtail the coal mining industry. Coal mining is profitable and it creates thousands of good jobs and it keeps most of our major power plants running.
He, the President, apparently doesn't know anything about the coal industry.
He funded a failed company like Solyndra and it went belly up.
He should have funded the coal industry. They have a lot more potential.
No. 1. Coal burns clean, put filters and scrubbers in the smoke stacks like we used to.
No. 2. Make gas and oil from the coal. The Germans did it during World War II so it isn't new technology.
It might be expensive at first, but like everything else once you get the technology down, it gets cheaper and more profitable to do.
