Louise was born May 20, 1910, daughter to Mable and Truman Campbell in Cammal. She was a lifelong resident of Cammal until the last few years when she resided at Roseview Center in Williamsport, where she received excellent care from the staff.
Louise graduated from Wellsboro High School and worked in various capacities for the railroad. She served as postmaster for Cammal a number of years. Known for her wacky sense of humor, she was treasurer for the Cammal United Methodist Church and volunteered in many other community organizations. Some of her many interests included gardening, feeding her birds and bingo.
Louise was predeceased by first husband, Bruce Davis (with whom she had two children, Arlene and Gordon, also deceased) and second husband, Walter C. Sample, as well as by brother, Truman R. Campbell. She is survived by nephew, Robert Campbell and niece, Anne Campbell.
At Louise's request, funeral arrangements will be kept simple. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and Louise's ashes will be interred in the family plot at Cammal Cemetery.
