Why would Walnut and Little League intersection walk sign have more time than Campbell and Fourth Street walk sign? It is not enough time. People can only make it half way across the street when walk sign is activated.
The Walnut Street intersection does not have near the traffic that the Campbell Street has, which includes school busses, city busses and main line of workers.
It seems that Mr. J. Markley did not get his new stop watch for Christmas so he must still be on Santa's black list or he did not check the time properly for people to get all the way across the street. It is unsafe to get across the street.
Also, people do not watch the activated walk sign only for cars. They need to check the sign rules again before someone really gets hurt bad.
The walk sign across Fourth from apartment house to parking lot is an automatic walk, but the other three crossings have to be activated and they are the ones who people ignore and should be caught and be arrested.
PennDOT said they could not change timing until City Council okayed it. So remember that election is coming up again. We need safer crossings in busy streets.
