Karl "Pat" Kettler, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2013.
Born in Williamsport, Pa., he was the son of Karl A. and Ada (Hannen) Kettler. He resided in the Villages, Fla., for the past 11 years.
He served in the Navy in Europe during World War II. He retired from Textron, Lycoming, after 38 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, his beloved pet, Bridgett, and, in his later years, he thoroughly enjoyed painting pictures for his family.
Karl is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Dottie) Magent Kettler; daughters, Yvonne (David) Hamm, Patty (Rick) Bruner; stepson, Lewis (Myla) Magent; grandchildren, Brent (Carrie) Hamm, Brenda (Kevin) Ho, Jason Bruner, Christine Bruner; and stepgrandchildren, Michael (Yesim) Magent, Chris (April) Magent. Karl had seven great-grandchildren.
Karl was predeceased by his first wife, Eva Doreen (Hodge) Kettler; two sisters, Abbey Briggs and Donna Lee Trimble; and three brothers, Richard Kettler, George Kettler and Jack Hannen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville, with Rev. John K. Manno officiating, followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m.
