Inez J. Seidel, 85, of Williamsport, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1928, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Colonel Brady and Anna Victoria (Olson) Walter.
She graduated from South Williamsport High School. Inez retired from Schnadig Corporation after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Loyalsock Garden Club. Inez was an avid sports fan and watched it all, especially the Steelers and Yankees. She also enjoyed gardening and crafts.
Surviving are a son, James R. Seidel Jr. (Sheila) of Unityville; three grandchildren, Heather and Scott Holmes, and Morgan Musser; a brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Seidel Sr.; two brothers, Brady and Richard Walter; and three sisters, Jeanne Young, Doris Manko and Hazel Chamberlin.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will be held at Green Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. at Knight-Confer.
