Four murals created by children attending the Columbia/Sullivan Head Start program in Dushore are featured in an exhibit at the Sullivan County Library.
There are a variety of art forms that were created during a 2012-13 artist residency sponsored by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the Tree House Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania.
The Columbia/Sullivan Head Start is funded through the Federal Department of Health and Human Services.
Shown are Head Start students who recently participated in an art exhibit held at the Sullivan County Library.
Dan Curry, a PCA Roster artist since 1998 is providing the residency for the children.
Of special interest in this exhibit are the eight murals created recently by the four groups of six children producing art collectively while listening to various styles of music.
Four of the murals are on public display at the library from now until May 31.
Library hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
