Marion E. Wenzel, 99, died peacefully at the Sycamore Manor Nursing Home, where she was a resident for the past year and a half on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
She was born Nov. 18, 1913, in Montoursville, the daughter of the late William and Rosa Day Criswell.
She is survived by a son, Charles M. Lichter (Mary Ann) of Montoursville; a daughter, Lee Ellen Grenninger (Fred) of State College; five grandchildren, Robert Lichter (Jeanette) of Waterloo, N.Y., Linda Dingler Fritz (John) of Allentown, Tracey Martinez (Jay) of Montoursville, Freddy Grenninger (Aimee) of Huntingdon and Pamela Erb (Wes) of Savannah, Ga.; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Marion was preceded by her husband, Robert; a grandson, Timothy Lichter; a granddaughter, Karen Puckett; a great-grandson, Chad Erb; and five brothers and sisters.
She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness congregation.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, in Montoursville Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
