A gun incident on West Third Street has resulted in a city man facing firearm charges, according to city police.
Colby J. Hendricks, 23, of 934 Vine Ave., has been charged with possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturing number, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of an instrument of crime, police said.
Officers were called to the 700 block of West Third Street about 1:30 a.m. on April 14 to investigate a report of a disturbance involving a man with a gun, police said.
When they reached the scene, officers saw witnesses pointing to a man, Hendricks, who turned out to have a handgun tucked in his waistband, police said. The serial number on the gun had been scratched off, police said.
Following his arraignment last week before District Judge James C. Carn, Hendricks was released on $28,500 bail.
