Office names April's
employee of month
Jamie Dietrich, roadway program coordinator, has been named the state Department of Transportation district office Employee of the Month for April 2013.
Dietrich, a news release said, has taken on a lot of additional tasks while maintaining her normal workload, including the development and delivery of roadway management system training for the district office and the counties, for new employees and central office personnel. She also created an RMS manual that now is used statewide.
She is a member of the STAMPP quality assurance committee, which is developing a process to ensure the district is getting accurate STAMPP data. STAMPP is the Systematic Technique to Analyze and Manage Pennsylvania Pavements. They also want to ensure that the department provides adequate training and information to the surveyors who are collecting the data.
Dietrich works with the Bureau of Maintenance and Operations to update the Report Management and Distribution System. Central office is improving access to the system by moving data to the Web, so that the reports are more accessible.
Dietrich, an 11-year PennDOT employee, lives in Allenwood with her husband Neil and their children Lucas, Jacob and Brooklyn.
of month selected
Marc Blair, transportation construction inspector in the Finals Unit, has been named the state Department of Transportation district office Employee of the Month for May 2013.
He was nominated for this honor, a news release said, because of his great devotion as a department employee. He handles multiple projects in multiple counties, and does so admirably. He continues to go above and beyond when performing his work duties, with minimal supervision. He is regularly willing, the news release said, to take the extra steps that may be needed in order to get the projects that he is assigned finalized. This includes fixing plans and paperwork on a project for the project inspectors and managers. He is very professional as he shares and explains changes with managers and supervisors.
Marc Blair, a five-year PennDOT employee, lives in Trout Run with his significant other Jamie Barnfield. He has a daughter, Kendra.
