Larry L. Patchen, 70, of Trout Run, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at his home.
Born July 31, 1942, in Williamsport, he was the son of Lee H. and Ruth A. (Aderhold) Patchen.
Larry was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed traveling with his ever faithful companion, his dog, Bo, to every state except Hawaii, and to Florida for the past 23 years. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and liked to hunt, fish, and go camping. He also enjoyed playing guitar, having Bible study with his close friends, and attending folk music festivals. Larry made friends wherever he went.
He was a loving father and teacher to his three children, Justin L. Patchen of Trout Run, Heather A. Patchen-Hamilton of North Carolina, and Jason L. (Bobbiejoe) Patchen of Trout Run; and four grandchildren, Dakota L., Jordan A. and Joanna E. Patchen, and Austin L. Patchen-Hamilton.
Private memorial services will be held at his home at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry's name may be made to the Salvation Army, 457 Market St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
