If, during the administration of George Bush, it was discovered that the IRS was targeting liberal non-profit organizations for additional scrutiny, and Congress decided to convene an investigation, and the IRS office in charge elected to take the 5th Amendment to avoid answering questions, how much media attention do you suppose that would receive from the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, NBC, MSNBC, etc.?
My guess is that they will ignore the issue this time, and focus on the Boy Scouts and their membership policy instead.
