Brett L. Springman, 60, of Cogan Station, died Monday, May 27, 2013, at his home.
Brett was a 1970 graduate of the Williamsport High School. He enjoyed NASCAR and while living in Texas for a while, he was on the Coker Racing Team pit crew.
Brett had worked for Flook Truck and Trailer, Hepburnville, as an auto mechanic, until an illness forced him to leave. Prior to that he had worked for Bill's Tire Shop, Fink's Automotive and in the maintenance department at the West Company on Route 15 in Montgomery.
Born June 26, 1952, in Williamsport, he was the son of Bernard L. and the late Phyllis B. (Bartlow) Springman.
Surviving in addition to his father, of Williamsport, are brothers, Dean H. of Philadelphia and Stephen E. of Hartville, Ohio; sisters, Gail L. Springman of El Cajon, Calif., Faye A. (Edward) Winter of Watsontown and Holly A Springman of Williamsport; two nephews; two nieces and one-great niece.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
The family suggests contributions in Brett's name may be made to the American Red Cross for Tornado Relief, 320 E. Third St., or the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., both Williamsport, PA 17701.
