Third-party presidential candidate Robby C. Wells, of Charlotte, N.C., is scheduled to speak at the Williamsport Tea Party's monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on June 5 at the Genetti Hotel, 200 W. Fourth St.
Wells ran for the presidential nomination in 2012 of the Constitution Party. He announced last November that he would run again for the 2016 election.
Wells was the head football coach from 2007 to 2009 for Savannah State University in Georgia.
According to his campaign website, he joined the Army National Guard in 2006 at the age of 38.
He operates a small marketing business in Charlotte.
Also at the meeting, attorney Joshua Prince, of the Firearms Industry Consulting Group, a division of Prince Law Offices, P.C., will present on federal and state firearms law issues, constitutional protections, federal gun confiscation and regulation efforts, and state nullification of unconstitutional laws.
Prince graduated cum laude from Widener Law School and concentrates his Berks County law practice on firearms law.
Also, the Williamsport Tea Party will present all invited county commissioners, judges and the sheriff's department with a Right to Bear Arms Preservation resolution.
