Utility wires discovered on roadway
PICTURE ROCKS - Picture Rocks Volunteer Fire Co. personnel were on the scene of wires down across Boston Road in this borough about 4 p.m. Sunday, and PPL was notified.
Fire company personnel said they were not sure what brought the wires down, according to firefighters at the scene.
There were no immediate reports of the downed wire causing any outages, according to the Lycoming County Communications Center.
Woman accused of writing bad checks
CLARKSTOWN - Jolene Dawn Stahl, 31, of 812 Diamond St., has been charged with theft by deception for allegedly writing five bad checks totaling $570 at Lowe's Great Value, 2185 Route 442, in mid-January, according to state police.
Following her recent arraignment before District Judge James Carn, Stahl was released on $8,500 bail. Co-defendant, Shawn Lee Klock, 30, of Muncy, was charged last month.
Assault on human services worker alleged
MANSFIELD - A 13-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated assault against a child care worker at Tioga County Human Services in Charleston Township, state police said. The alleged incident occurred recently.
Police also charged the boy with simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching the victim in the face.
67-year-old man accused of kissing teen girl
SHINGLEHOUSE - A 67-year-old Potter County man is accused of the indecent assault of a 14-year-old girl, state police at Coudersport said.
James William McMichael, of this borough, allegedly kissed the girl on the lips and asked inappropriate questions, police said.
McMichael was charged with corruption of minors and indecent sexual assault. He was arraigned and committed to the Potter County jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
