Thomas Dewayne Day Sr., of Hyannis, died on June 7, 2013, from a battle with bone cancer. He was born on Jan. 23, 1953, the son of the late Lilian and William Day. He was employed as a cross-country truck driver and in recent years, as a trucker on Cape Cod.
He is survived by two daughters and one son, Anetta Day of Williamsport, Jacqueline Rudy of Muncy, and Thomas Dewayne Day Jr. of Watsontown. He also leaves two sisters, Jacqueline Day of Denver, Colo., and Kathy Hill of Williamsport; one brother, Richard Day of Milton; 11 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He was preceeded in death by a brother, Leslie Day and a sister, Darlene Day both of Williamsport.
The Day family wishes to thank Tom's friends on Cape Cod as well as the VNA and Cape Regency who have helped and supported him through this time of need.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of Tom's family in Pennsylvania.
