Harold LaRue Snyder, 85, of Heatherbrook Estates, Muncy, died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Gatehouse.
Born June 26, 1927, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Brady R. and Mae A. (Scott) Snyder. On Oct. 2, 1946, he married Grace I. Kilgus. They would have celebrated their 67th anniversary this October.
Harold was a 1946 graduate of Muncy High School.
He worked for the former West Branch Bell Telephone Company as a lineman, and later performed maintenance for the post office in Muncy and Williamsport, where he retired.
He enjoyed restoring his 1928 Durant and belonged to an antique car club, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Donald L. Snyder, of Montgomery; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie L. and Brad Beals, of Jersey Shore, and Deborah A. and Leonard Klees, of Pennsdale; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, David and Brady Snyder.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday at Grenoble's, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Robert E. Dunkelberger, of Muncy Presbyterian Church.
Burial with full military honors will follow in Muncy Cemetery.
